The Bogus Basin Kamikaze Downhill [Now on Sunday, Sept. 21st]
Final DH Points race of the year, START time at 2:30pm.
We have changed the downhill race to Sunday, We are also using digital chip timing for all riders.There is the possibility of doing a seeding run and then we will race for the Best of two race runs.
The Kamikaze technical downhill course runs from the upper lodge to the lower lodge.Follow the Sunshine Trail down from Chair #2 and you will find the race Start.
One of our race sponsors is a great little shop in Eagle, Idaho by the name of Reed Cycle and Ski. Go check them out and say hello from the Wild Rockies Crew.
Fast times are between 2:00 and 2:10 on this brand new, screaming fast (PRO/EXPERT/SPORT) course with quick turns and
smaller drops.There is sweet spots for spectating and photo ops on this flowing course only 45 min
drive time from Boise. Come on up and check it out, the views are awesome!!
On-site Registration: Noon to 2:00pm
START Times: 2:30pm start from the upper lodge, Two run format-- BEST run wins. We are using a digital timing system, so remember to have your chip on before your start!
Practice:THE COURSE IS SET UP NOW!! Thank you to volunteers from REED CYCLE - Taylor, Daniel,
Cody, Max, Terry, and Ian. Practice the day of the race is not limited, but there is a
short-track race happening in the morning. Riding inspection can be done in the morning.please be aware there are lots of people and bikes in the base area, so keep your heads up!Have fun and go big!!
This weekend also serves as the NCCA Regional conference championship for the preperation of Collegiate Nationals. Come support the riders and help them ready for the big race in October. Knobby Tire Series and Boise State Cycling club will be on hand to see that the weekend is a success.
